Kevin,
I just want to thank you and the whole staff at Thousand Oaks Honda-Suzuki for their willingness to go the extra mile and help again and again regardless of the customer’s moods, craziness, and sometime insane ideas. During my purchases, trade-in and other transactions involving the DL650K7 (V-Strom), AN400K6 (Burgman 400), VFR800K7 ABS (Honda Interceptor), GZ250 (Suzuki GZ- scooter chaser), and the 2005 Honda Shadow VLX (replacement scooter chaser) Kevin has demonstrated over and over the professionalism friendliness and competitive pricing during each and every transaction which made me a believer that honest dealerships do exist. I consider myself a lifelong customer and with kids growing up with this relationship which will hopefully extend over generations.
When choosing a bike I am not just looking for a brand I am looking for a dealership where I can come back with any problems and mechanical, technical competence is preset. Thanks to Eric you and the dealership, excel in that (service) area as well. I could not finish this note without mentioning David and his staff for taking great care of all accessories and aftermarket “things” that all our toys need.
Thank you gentleman! Respectfully Szilard Gyalay

I've been buying bikes exclusively from Kevin Dunn and T.O. Honda for that last 10 years or so. The reason is simple: Good, fair pricing, and a straightforward no "BS" approach. It's not the typical "used car salesman" approach that you find at every other dealership. Kevin is knowledgeable and honorable. He's a rider and knows his stuff which I have always found to be very beneficial from a customer standpoint. I've always had fantastic treatment from Kev and have sent many friends to T.O.Honda to purchase bikes from him. Craig Turner

Hey Kevin, Here is my Summary of the Bandit 1250.. Maybe this might help to let people know how good the bike really is.. Feel free to use my name or email info or what ever you want if need be.. Richie D.
After riding for almost 35 years I have to say that the new 2007 Suzuki Bandit 1250 is an absolute gem. Being no stranger to riding as I have owned (including the Bandit 1250) FORTY (40) bikes in my life .Since the year 2000 I have owned a 2001 Suzuki Hayabusa, 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000,2006 Suzuki M109,2000 Bandit 1200, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and 2000 Honda VTR 1000 ..All great bikes in there own right. Yet this new 2007 Bandit 1250 is winning my heart amongst favorites. The 1250 Bandit on the street can keep up with anything. It is by far the smoothest bike I have ever ridden. No matter what speed you ride this bike never shows any signs of fuzziness in the mirrors or outstanding vibrations of any kind. At freeway speeds (and above-hehehe) you are right in the heart of it's power band so roll on power is really good. The off line torque feels like the torque of any big power twin as it's very easy to launch. The fuel injection is flawless. Just start it up go (even after sitting for a week). The handling of this bike is very nimble. I almost feel more comfortable running thru the canyons on this bike then I would on a sport bike (even though the stock tires aren't as sticky as the sport bikes)..The riding position is very comfortable with just a slight lean and a small wind blast over the windshield to the top of my head (5' 6" rider). Braking from high speed is very near sport bike performance. I had a chance to test them in a quick freeway brake frenzy not long ago (Non ABS).This bike runs on regular gas and gets 45-48 miles per gallon. I tried the higher octane but didn't notice much of difference in performance (so save your money). As far as maintenance goes this bike has so little to do other than a few adjustments and oil changes for the first 14500-21500 miles. Get a Bandit 1250 and you won't regret it. I'd give it three(3) thumbs up(if I had 3 thumbs). Lots and Lots of Bang for the Buck Oh and did I mention that thru Geico (with a good driving record) I pay $350 a year for FULL COVERAGE!!!

Here's my testimonial:
Thousand Oaks Honda/Suzuki helped me find a pitch-perfect bike and put it together with the best deal in town. I was looking for something that could both work as a daily commuter and could also haul two people comfortably on road trips. It's a difficult balance, because I wanted something that could do lane splitting in heavy traffic, and was comfortable enough for longer hauls with the better half and a bit of gear in tow. When they showed me the latest Burgman 650, I was taken aback. Since I had never considered a scooter before, they were very helpful with a walk through of the controls and explaining the similarities to and differences from standard motorcycles. It has great mileage, exceptional comfort, and enough heft to cruise comfortably at highway speeds - exactly what I was looking for. The storage space under the trunk was great, but since I'd be doing longer road trips with my wife, I needed some extra storage - so they hooked us up with some top-of-the-line after market luggage, and got us a great deal on a pair of riding jackets and helmets, to boot - all at a great discount. Even when I had bought a set of fork lamps on my own - their service department was lightening fast and super-friendly with info on proper torque settings for mounting the gear - that's more than just having good sales and service, that's "good people". It doesn't matter if you're looking for a sport, a cruiser, or something in between, Thousand Oaks Honda/Suzuki has the expertise and know-how to help you find the perfect bike for your style of ride - and will give you an unbeatable deal in the process. Highly recommended.
07/20/2007:
I am writing in regards to the exceptional service presented by Eric Oken. On 07/19/07, I had driven to Thousand Oaks, Ca to sell my Suzuki Motorcycle to a private party. The prospective buyer first wanted to have the bike checked out for any problems, and the day previous had spoken to an employee that stated it was okay to bring the bike to be examined on this day. However there was a mixup, and the service dept. was doing training, and was unable to take any bikes in for servicing for at least the most part of the day. The mixup obviously was not Eric's fault, but he took it upon himself to try to resolve the problem. Eric handled the situation with superb customer service skills, and in a very professional manner. I was pleased that after leaving the bike at the service department, that just after a quick lunch the bike had been checked up on, and even had a minor repair performed in lightning fast fashio. So from a grateful customer from Sacramento I would like to let the owner of the fine establishment that you have an excellent service department, and that the service manager is awesome. So I can't be thankful enough for your crew, and if I know anyone that is looking for a bike or bike service in the So. Cal region I will surely recommend your dealership.
Sincerely Yours,
Dean Bischoff
3/3/07 Hello folks - I'm a brand-spanking new Burgman owner. My wife and I just picked out a 2007 model AN650K7. We got a really good package deal on the bike plus helmets, gloves and reinforced riding jackets at the Thousand Oaks Suzuki dealership. It was a truly outstanding experience and we're looking forward to dealing with them in the future. This is not a shill - I'm just a really, really happy guy right now.
When we walked into the dealership this morning (planning on only looking at gloves, jackets and helmets) we both were stopped in our tracks at the looks of the Bergman 650. Once we saw all of the features (that space under the seat is something that Dr. Who would be proud of), we were both sold.
I'm blown away by the CVT, and quite frankly I was a little bit freaked by the lack of foot controls. It's something that I grew accustomed to very quickly, but I still occasionally tap my foot in a phantom down shift maneuver while breaking. It's freakishly quiet, and the motor does so much of the breaking work for me, I feel like I've hardly squeezed the hand levers at all.
So, my wife and I are both in love all over again. We're not quite to the point of giving our Burgman a name, but it won't be long before we start looking for safety add-ons (the conscientious man's *bling*) and a few other accouterments that I'm sure the folks here know all about. So - gotta go. I'm going to out and do a quick night drive, to see how the display lights up under a full moon.

I would like to inform you of the exceptional service I received recently at your dealership. I was extremely frustrated over a very annoying buzzing sound that was being generated from some source of vibration on my 1997 Honda Valkyrie. This motorcycle was recently purchased as a used bike from another local Honda dealer. Although I was very impressed with the bike itself, I became obsessed with this loud buzzing and attempted to have this resolved several times with the dealership the bike was purchased from. Unfortunately, this dealer's service dept. could not identify the cause of the vibration or eliminate the buzzing sound. Even after getting American Honda involved with this problem, this other dealer was unable to resolve this problem.
After seeking the involvement of Ray Conway, Honda's District Service Manager, I asked if I could have your service dept. take a look at the bike to see if they had any ideas. Mr. Conway agreed that this would be the next best step in the process to resolve this problem. Eric Oken was very accommodating and had me leave the bike in your shop for several days. After all the inspecting, probing, tightening & tinkering that was conducted by the mechanics at the other dealership, it only took your service dept. a short time to fix the problem! It was Willie who noticed during a test ride that the front wheel seemed out of balance. After balancing the front wheel, Willie called me to come down to test ride the bike with him. I soon discovered that the annoying buzzing sound had vanished! This may have seemed like a simple & easy fix for Williie, but two mechanics at the other dealership and American Honda could not identify or fix this problem. Needless to say, I was extremely happy with the outcome and very impressed with Eric's Excellent customer service and Willie's expertise!
Peter [Owner], I have always tried to do business with your dealership in the past. Not only is it close to where I live, but I have always received excellent service from your parts, service and sales departments. In fact, I am a member of the Thousand Oaks Riders Club (TORC) which you so generously sponsor. The only reason I purchased this bike from another dealership is because the bike was used and priced right for my budget. I will however show my loyalty to your dealership for all future purchases and will highly recommend your dealership to my friends.
The purpose of this letter is to let you and American Honda know about the outstanding support I received and to thank you for the exceptional service! As a business manager for a fortune 500 company, I know how important it is to provide customers with excellent customer service and you should be quite proud of the team you have built at your dealership!
Sincerely;
Harold Wall
November 5th, 1996;
In Feb. of 1996, I purchased a new Honda Magna Deluxe, Model VF750CDT from Thousand Oaks Honda Suzuki.
During the past ten months I have conducted business with their sales dept, service dept., parts dept., and the accounting/insurance dept. I have never had a more pleasurable business experience that that which I have had with the people of Thousand Oaks Honda.
When I was researching what Honda motorcycle to buy and from which agency, I settled on T.O. Honda because of their patience and attitude of honesty, no pressure sales, and making my pruchase a painless and yes, fun experience. Cost was also a primary consideration, however, no other dealership could match the attitude of the staff at T.O. Honda even though some said they would beat the price.
I do not know the name(s) of the owner{s} at T.O. Honda but wish to thank them and especially thank Kevin for all his help. Also to Eric who is the worlds best Service Manager. These folks, along with all their other staff, make it a pleasurable and fun trip to ride over and spend, spend, spend.
Sincerely,
Dick Seery
P.S. I almost forgot ot mention that you also make a great motorcycle. I love my Magna and even my Harley friends give me compliments on it.. some like to call it the Honda Davidson.

I would like to advise you of how wonderful your service dept. is. I have stopped by on occasion to ask a question, and had a rear tire changed there a few months ago.
My father originally got me into motorcycles when he purchased two Honda XL's from Conejo Honda in the early 80's. I stop by your dealership infrequently when I come out to see my dad. I have always enjoyed the professionalism and honesty of your dept, especially that of Eric Oken. His dept. changed my tire efficiently and with superb professionalism. I always have trusted his judgment very deeply, and I respect his honest appraisal of my bike's condition. Trust in a service dept. along with their professionalism are two of my most valued attribues- Mr. Oken's dept. has always displayed both.
I keeep your dealership and Mr. Oken in mind should my CBR1000 need service. However, with the excellent qaulity of motorcycles that Honda sells, that may not be for a long, long time.
Thanks for the great service,
Albert L. Klein

Letter to owner:
Dear Mr. Wagner:
Approximately tow months ago I decided to purchase a Goldwing as a birthday gift for my Husband. I went to several different Honda dealerships and ultimately gave my business to yours because of Bob Archer.
Bob was incredibly patient (I know nothing about motorcycles!) and extremely helpful in guiding me in my choices. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel as if I was with someone very competent who knew what he was doing. And, he really did! My Husband loves the bike and all the choices that I (and Bob) picked for him.
As it was a birthday gift, Bob helped to make the bike a great surprise and did everything that he said he would do. He has great follow-through and I appreciated the smoothness of the entire transaction.
Bob is a wonderful asset to Thousand Oaks Honda and I felt that you would want to know how very pleased I was. I tell everyone that if they are looking to purchase a Honda/Suzuki, see Bob Archer!
Sincerely,
A J Gibson Camarillo, CA
